Eden
Lithic Cast
Transitional Paleo to Early Archaic - 9,250 - 8,850 B.P.
The Eden point type is part of
the Cody Complex which was present across most of North America. Eden
points were originally called Yuma after examples found in Yuma Colorado.
They were found in situ at the Finley site and named Eden after the town. The Eden point exhibits a
highly skilled level of workmanship. This is one of my favorite types.
The skill level of the Cody knapper makes a good Eden point a true work of lithic
art.
