Montell
Lithic Casts The Montell point was previously called Delia Notch Base. In the late 40s the name was changed to Montell. Examples are typically very thin with random flaking. The basal ears are typically squared off and give it a buck tooth look. The point is typically found in the Edwards Plateau and extends South into the Big Bend region and Coahuila, Northern Mexico. Below are examples of some of the finer lithic castings of the type.
Montell Point Cast This exceptional Montell point was found in Bell County Texas. The lithic cast measures 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" and is extremely thin and well made. This is a beautiful piece and I would like to personally thank Dwain Rogers for allowing the casting of the relic.
